Amaia Montero
Amaia Montero (Irún-Guipúzcoa) is a composer of pop songs and ballads, and is one of the most renowned singers in the Spanish music scene. Her charismatic personality and her voice stand out as her distinguishing traits. The artist became known as the first vocalist for La Oreja de Van Gogh, helping the band earn seven Platinum Records (“Dile al Sol”), the Best Spanish Artist Award at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and a Latin Grammy with the record “Lo que te conté mientras te hacías la dormida”. En 2007, Amaia decided to continue on with a solo career, dropping her first album “Amaia Montero” in 2008. With this record, Amaia was nominated for “Best Female Vocal Pop Album” at the Latin Grammys, received a gold and platinum record, and was No.1 in various countries, establishing herself as a solo artist. As a tireless artist, Amaia has worked in parallel in successful duets such as the iconic “Sin miedo a nada” with Alex Ubago, “Puede ser” with Dani Martin, “El regalo más grande” with Tiziano Ferro, and “Sevilla” with Miguel Bosé, among others. In January 2018, Amaia presented her latest album and single of the same name: NACIDOS PARA CREER, which spread like wildfire across social media and ensured her quite successful return to touring, led her to travel across Spain and Latin America with this album and its hits until 2019. Amaia is currently composing and is already preparing a new project.
